An infamous Audrey Hepburn quote “Paris is always a good idea,” comes to mind as I reflect on my recent adventure to Ladree. We have all seen the amazing Instagram photos of this Parisian backdrop, crystal chandeliers and colorful macaroons; so when I saw on Facebook that this sweet little shop was opening near me I called my fellow blogger and bestie (Sarah from Dear Penelope) and headed straight for Georgetown. Its Parisian inspired décor was simply gorgeous. We sat at a cute little bistro table right near the coffee bar. Sparkling chandeliers hung above our heads and we quickly scrolled the menu to make our breakfast selection. For the gluten-free foodie like me, there was a fresh, sweet fruit bowl, awakening latte selections and thankfully the macaroons are gluten-free! For the gluten lovers out there the French toast looked amazing! The waiters were so friendly and attentive and we didn’t really have to wait at all for a table. After breakfast we picked up a few more macaroons for gifts and for later! It was the perfect, relaxing kid free morning. Afterwards, we walked around Georgetown. I cannot get enough of the shopping, architecture and gardens that are hidden down the side streets. Such a quaint little area right outside the hustle and bustle of DC. If you have never been to Georgetown it is a must see when visiting DC!
